Slide 11

5.GRAMMAR
As you see, in the dialogue Kate says: “There is some butter in the fridge”. You know that if you want to say where is something situated you should use there is for singular or there are for plural.  For example, There is a book on the desk. There are cats in the yard.
Якщо ми хочемо сказати, де знаходиться той чи інший предмет, ми вживаємо конструкцію “there is “ для однини, як в реченні “ There is a pen on the desk”, та “ there are”  для множини, як, наприклад, “There are pens on the desk.” Ці речення перекладаються з кінця, як «На парті ручка. На парті ручки».
Slide 12
В англійській мові існують злічувані та незлі чувані іменники. Злічувані іменники ми можемо порахувати, незлічувані – ні.
Slide 13
Slide 14
Slide 15
Slide 16

Якщо ми вживаємо незлічувані іменники, ми ставимо перед“there is “ займенник “ some”. Не забувайте, що незлічувані іменники вживаються тільки в однині!
You’ll see that the nouns which we can count we call “countable”, the nouns we cannot count we call “uncountable”. Please, name countable and uncountable nouns. (The teacher introduces new  grammar material to the pupils)
Slide 17
Insert “a”, “an” or “some”. (The pupils do the task in pairs. It helps to practise new grammar rule)
Slide 18

6.SPEAKING
The next step is to play the game “Yes/No”. I’ll read you the statements and you should quickly say “Yes, I do,” or “No, I don’t”.(The pupils do this exercise one by one and give answers very quickly. It’s for recollecting the material of the topic)
I have an egg and a cup of tea for breakfast.
I have some bread and butter and a cup of milk for breakfast.
I have some cheese and a cup of coffee for breakfast.
I have some sugar in my tea.
I have some sugar in my coffee.
