“We love English”
WE LOVE ENGLISH
Extra-curriculum activities for junior
pupils.
Aims:
- to develop pupils’ skills of
listening,
reading
and spelling;
- to develop pupils’ curiosity
and interest to
English language;
- to develop quick reaction and
ability to
select necessary information from text;
- to show pupils that English may be easy
and interesting.
Pupils are divided into two groups.
Senior pupils make up the jury of the competition. Each team has a name. One
team is called “Mickey Mouse”, the other – “Minney Mouse”. The teams have
emblems and greet each other.
“Mickey Mouse”:
- Good morning, good morning,
Good morning to you,
Good morning, good morning,
We are glad to see you!
Captain; “This is Mickey Mouse. He
is small, funny and clever.” (pointing at the emblem).
“Minney Mouse”:
- The sun is shining,
The stars are smiling,
Hello, my friend, hello!
Captain: “This is Minney Mouse. She
is small, nice and kind.”
